the science of sacred sounds

how to use mantra
to tap into power and inspiration

steve gibson

To the uninitiated mantra is just the repetition of strange sounds: to the knower it is a source of tremendous power.

Mantra works on the principle that the sounds we intone have psychic effects. In fact each component of a mantra has a specific effect on a specific psychic centre within the aura, so the results of using a mantra are predictable, not random.

Although mantra is an eastern technique, it is one that has very practical applications for the westerner. You can use mantra to bring about states of inspiration at will, to send healing to others or as a focus for contemplation and meditation. Mantras can bring about states of tremendous peace or vibrant energy, of mystic visions or focussed clarity. They may be designed for group use or to be said in solitude. They may be chanted, whispered or thought, each method having differing effects.

In this workshop you will receive personal instruction in how to intone several mantras. These mantras have been used by eastern mystics for centuries and you will now experience their resonant power and beauty for yourself. This workshop is designed for the newcomer to the practice of mantra. While benefiting anyone, mantra has particular applications for those in the healing arts or for practitioners of other aspects of yoga.
