Ever wanted to be more musical? Ever thought that you could play an instrument but have been told that you "don't have what it takes"? Would you be interested in an instrument that

** Needs no prior experience and no musical 'ability'

** Can be played by anyone from 5 to 80

** Can allow musical expression free from judgment

** Can allow player and listener alike to enter deep states of meditative calm and connectedness to their higher selves

** Can release energy blockages and balance chakra energies

** Can facilitate personal journeying and transformation

** Brings new skills which can stimulate mind and body

Discover all this and more with the Australian Aboriginal Didjeridoo. Made from eucalyptus trees naturally hollowed by termites, didjeridoos are thought to have been played for several thousand years and perform an important role in the Australian Aborigines' rich spiritual culture.

This one-day participatory workshop will include

** Explanation of the origin and uses of didjeridoos and other sacred Aboriginal instruments

** Simple but effective exercises to strengthen and develop the respiratory system

** Hands-on learning with real Aboriginal instruments (and the chance to purchase your own instrument at discounted rates)

** The basic drone sound

** Animal calls and rhythm building

** Circular breathing

** Working with the chakras

Please bring your didjeridoo with you if you have one, or one will be provided for the day. Participants will receive a free copy of Jonathan's book How to Play the Didjeridoo.

Maximum 20 participants
Admission £50 (concessions £30)
