celtic spirituality for today

ancient wisdom to revitalise your life

donald mckinney

wednesday 15 september 7pm

For the last 18 years, Donald McKinney has been on a spiritual journey that has transformed his life. It all started when he began doing some academic research into the ancient beliefs of the Celts, and, to his amazement, discovered that the wisdom he was discovering explained the changes taking place in his own life at that time. As theory and practice blurred into one, he found himself anointed as the ‘pathfinder’, a person qualified to teach and demonstrate the basic beliefs of the Celts.

Before the arrival of the Saxons, around the 5th century, Britain was entirely Celtic; Celtic Gods and Goddesses were worshipped at sacred sites throughout the land. Later, when Christianity arrived many of these sites were simply adopted by local saints.

Today we can open ourselves to the same energies and influences that the Celts experienced millennia ago. We can find inspiration in nature and sacred sites just as they did. We can feel the pull of the Godhead and we can learn from the whispers of the spirits and angels that are all around us.
In this talk Donald McKinney will relate his own experiences, explain the beliefs of the Celts and show you how, by adopting these ideas yourself, you can bring magic, inspiration and contentment into your own life.

Donald McKinney is the author of Walking the Mist: Celtic Spirituality for the 21st Century (Hodder Mobius) published in August, and has also produced a Celtic Meditation CD. He is the Convenor of the Celtic Circle, a worldwide group of people interested in exploring all matters Celtic. He runs talks and workshops throughout the UK and in several other European countries. www.celtic-circle.com
