The proof is within you! This article outlines the thought-provoking ideas presented by Dr. Richard Lawrence in his lecture "Co-operation With the Gods from Space" delivered at the London Festival for Mind-Body-Spirit.
The Flying Saucer field can be confusing. When you start to study it, you are besieged by a mass of often conflicting data and claims. Flying Saucer sightings can be the most wonderful experiences for the people who have them, but only studying UFOs, ignoring their true significance can become just cosmic train-spotting! The Aetherius Society starts where most UFO organisations end. We study the ‘why' of Flying Saucers, rather than trying to ‘prove' that they exist. The term "Flying Saucers" is a dreadful one. It is a sad reflection on the 20th century that, when confronted with these beautiful disc-shaped craft, the best that we can come up with is a piece of crockery! It just goes to show that people ridicule things that they cannot cope with. Although there has been a conspiracy against the truth, the worlds governments and media have also proved that they are simply not up to the issue. As a reporter from a British national newspaper said to me, "It is not a question of whether it is true or not: we are here to sell newspapers"! In Voronezh, in the former Soviet Union, a landing took place in a park in 1989, witnessed by a crowd of people. A tall being emerged from the craft, and on seeing a young boy who was frightened pointed what seemed a gun. The boy vanished! After some time, he again ‘fired' the gun and the boy reappeared. The being returned to his craft which departed, leaving indentations in the ground. The Soviet news agency TASS which released this story was shocked by the inadequate reporting of the world's press–who had, apparently, not discovered glasnost! Logic seems to leave people when confronted with the really great issues. It is far less logical to believe that the Star of Bethlehem was a star, than that it was, as the Cosmic Masters have said, an interplanetary craft. Believing that man is the crown of God's creation, an idea that, even today, lies at the heart of western civilisation, is patently illogical when obviously the Planet on which we live is far greater. These ideas and many like them are just as backward as saying that the Sun revolves around the Earth. They will go. In reality there is nothing new about the idea of higher Intelligences on other worlds. Hundreds of years ago the great Swedish philosopher and scientist, Count Swedenborg, believed himself in touch with higher life forms on other planets, including some within this solar system. Nor is our Dr. King, the Founder of the Aetherius Society, the only Contact in history–there have been others whose claims have been proved. But he does stand head and shoulders above them all. He is the only one whose contacts have lasted over 40 years, always consistent, never proved wrong, and who has brought such a vast body of teaching and evidence to mankind. He is also the only one in modern times whose intensive practice for over ten years before his contact qualified him as a Master of Yoga. He has proved that there is not just one way to investigate the ‘UFO mystery'. Science is obsessed with objective investigation: you cannot prove life on Mars to some purely physical scientists–it lies outside their range of competence. So-called objective proof has often been proved wrong in history after other factors have been discovered. The best way to discover the truth is to accept that the proof lies within you. Have your own experiences. Cooperate with the Gods from Space! You will have experiences to prove these things to yourself beyond all shadow of doubt. The Aetherius Society speaks the language of direct action–not of theory and speculation. We use what we have been given, not just for the benefit of mankind, but even for the Mother Earth Herself through the majestic Operation Sunbeam. Such things are far above our capabilities alone. They can only be done in co-operation with the great extraterrestrial beings we know as the Cosmic Masters. That is the key–the lasting way to find the truth behind The Aetherius Society.
